Job summary

CML, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting an LGV Driver to join our ambient and chilled distribution network across the UK. You will report to the Transport Office at shift start, complete pre-checks, PODs, and maintain impeccable records while delivering to customer premises with professionalism.

We seek a driver with LGV Class C+E, DCPC, a full UK driving licence, and at least 6 months of LGV experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold LGV Class C+E Licence and DCPC with up-to-date certification.
• Proven minimum 6 months experience driving LGV vehicles.
• Valid UK driving licence and good knowledge of road transport rules.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable under busy conditions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver to customers’ premises in a professional manner and on time.
• Complete paperwork, PODs, and maintain accurate records.
• Perform pre-shift vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Comply with tachograph rules and Road Transport Directive.
• Communicate with Transport Office and Customer Services as needed.

Job description

CML part of the Culina Group are now recruiting for LGV Driver

CML stores and delivers a wide variety of food products across the ambient and chilled temperature ranges, while it also offers a series of added value solutions to their clients.

• Report to the Transport Office at the start of shift for briefing
• Comply with and follow all company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety requirements, hygiene standards, and driver handbook guidelines.
• Ensure all paperwork and pre-checks are completed accurately and in full.
• Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
• Ensure defects are reported promptly and that all defect reports are completed accurately and in full when required.
• Always comply with all tachograph rules and regulations and promptly report any infringements.
• Effectively manage working time in compliance with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph regulations.
• Responsible for unit and trailer, including temperature checks and recording
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of Transport Department operations.
• Always maintain a high standard of behaviour and appearance.
• Make deliveries to customers’ premises, always acting in a professional manner
• Observe and adhere to site procedures at each delivery & collection point
• Report any issues with delivery or collection arrival times, delays, or load discrepancies immediately.
• Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery
• Ensure regular communication with the Transport Office / Customer Services
• Any other duties as reasonably required
• Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business

• Possession of LGV Class C+E Licence and valid DCPC
• Minimum 6 months experience driving LGV
• Full UK Driving License
