Job summary

phs is hiring a Class 2 Service Technician in Maidstone. The role involves collecting health-related waste and supporting Covid testing stations, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Salary is £38,250 based on a 45-hour week, with no weekend work, 13 paydays, and opportunities for career development and employee discounts. Vaccinations are advised and provided by phs where applicable.

Qualifications

• Category C (LGV Class 2) license, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are required.
• Full driving license held for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points and no IN or DD endorsements within five years.
• Vaccinations against Hepatitis B, tetanus/polio are advised and paid for by phs.
• Safety and legal compliance are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Follow planned routes using PDA devices to confirm collections.
• Operate Soft Compaction Vehicles for waste collection.
• Empty/Collect Euro Bins containing offensive waste.
• Support Covid testing stations by collecting sealed waste.
• Complete hazardous Consignment notes/Transfer notes.
• Return to the depot daily to empty the vehicle.
