Level 4 Facilities Manager Apprentice

Starting base salary of £24,570 + 11% benefits fund + bonus

Responsibilities

• Improve facilities management contract management quality: help develop and roll out strong service contracts, fixing gaps that have made it hard to manage suppliers effectively and support proactive, reliable, and optimised contract management.
• Hold facilities management suppliers accountable: support monitoring supplier performance against agreed service standards, ensuring delivery meets the needs and expectations of internal teams.
• Support critical work for patients: ensure services run smoothly across R&D, Manufacturing, Testing, and Product Release so the right medicines reach patients safely and on time.
• Use AI and smart tech to boost efficiency: spot practical ways to bring AI and new technology into the FM team, enhancing supplier management, oversight, and streamlining day‑to‑day FM operations to drive real productivity gains.

Training and Development

AstraZeneca will sponsor you through your Facilities Manager Level 4 Apprenticeship at the Macclesfield Campus with remote college learning from Capital City College. The apprenticeship combines working, earning a full‑time salary, with fully funded part‑time college learning (on average 1 day per week). You will gain a Facilities Manager Level 4 Apprenticeship qualification and relevant work‑life skills while helping develop new medicines.

Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grades 9 to 4, including English and Maths. Minimum of 1 A level (32 UCAS points or equivalent at grade C) or predicted to achieve.

2‑year fixed‑term contract based at Macclesfield. Starting base salary of £24,570 + 11% benefits fund + bonus. We offer a relocation package for candidates who live more than 60 minutes from the site. This apprenticeship is fully funded and includes a 2‑year salary and part‑time college learning.
