Job summary

Brookvale Primary School in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our caring team and support children in Reception. You will work closely with the class teacher to enable high-quality learning in a positive, inclusive environment, with training provided for Little Wandle if needed.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification relevant to working with children.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in Reception or Early Years.
• Good understanding of learning and development needs of young children.
• Enthusiastic, caring, nurturing and committed to helping every child reach potential.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues and families.
• Able to work well in a team and support the class teacher.
• Flexible and willing to learn and develop practice.
• Experience of Little Wandle or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the class teacher and wider team to support pupils.
• Help create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
• Support individual needs and development of children in Reception/EY.
