Qualifications

• Interest in pursuing a career in education and gaining school-based experience.
• Motivated, enthusiastic and caring individual working toward a national qualification.
• Able to support learning activities and maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Prepared to work with students including those with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students, including those with special needs.
• Assist with development and implementation of Education/Behaviour Plans.
• Establish constructive relationships with students and interact according to individual needs.
• Promote inclusion and engagement with activities led by the teacher.
• Encourage student interaction and independence within the learning activities.
• Provide feedback on progress under the guidance of the teacher.
• Assist with planning and monitoring learning activities and record progress.
• Help maintain a purposeful, orderly classroom environment and display of work.
• Support with ICT use in learning activities and prepare learning resources.
• Provide clerical/admin support as needed.
