Job description

Exciting Opportunity: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

For children who don't quite fit the mainstream mould

£25,000 - £26,200 actual salary

Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00

Start date: ASAP (but we'll wait for the right person)

Let's empower the next generation to live their best lives — by creating a space where they can actually be themselves.

Some children find mainstream school tough. Too noisy. Too fast. Too much. You'll be the calm in that chaos — the person who helps them believe school can work for them again.

The Role

We're looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a small, specialist hub built around children who need a different approach. It's not about ticking boxes. It's about adapting, noticing, and helping each child make progress on their own terms.

Responsibilities
  • Support children 1:1 and in small groups — academically, emotionally, and socially.
  • Bring lessons to life in ways that make sense for each learner.
  • Work alongside teachers and the SEND team to shape individual learning plans.
  • Use patience and empathy to manage behaviour and build trust.
  • Keep track of progress — and celebrate every win, big or small.
Who you are
  • Fun, kind, and endlessly patient.
  • Someone who listens before reacting.
  • A natural team player who adapts on the go.
  • The kind of person who sees potential where others see problems.
Why this job?

Because this school gets it. You'll be part of a team that values creativity, flexibility and genuine care — led by a Head Teacher who believes in doing what's right for the child, not what's easiest for the timetable.

What you’ll get
  • A supportive, inclusive environment.
  • Proper holidays.
  • Opportunities to grow and develop.
  • £25,000 - £26,200 actual salary.
  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 — your evenings and weekends are your own.

If you believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported and understood — this is where you can make that happen.
