Level 3 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the Pastoral Team at a client secondary school in Stretford. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive educational environment, assisting teachers in delivering high-quality education to our students.

Our client secondary school is located in Stretford, Greater Manchester. They are committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where every student can reach their full potential. The school’s dedicated staff members work collaboratively to create an inclusive atmosphere that fosters academic achievement, personal growth, and social development.

Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring students' understanding and engagement.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Support students with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) in their academic and social development.
  • Collaborate with other teaching assistants, teachers, and school staff to ensure effective communication and coordination.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a teaching assistant in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents/guardians.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the school environment.
