Job summary

Supply Desk is partnering with a welcoming UB4 school to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. You will support pupils with additional needs, including ASD/ADHD/SEMH, delivering targeted interventions and promoting wellbeing in a structured environment.

Role involves 1:1 and small group support, assisting in lesson planning, and applying IEPs and behaviour strategies. DBS required or willingness to obtain one. This is a full-time, on-site post with a competitive daily rate.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting children with SEN in school, care, or support setting.
• Strong understanding of ASD, ADHD, and/or SEMH needs.
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage behaviour in a calm, professional manner.
• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
• Deliver tailored interventions and learning activities under teacher guidance
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Assist in planning and adapting lessons to meet individual needs
• Implement IEPs and behaviour strategies
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Support personal care needs where required
• Encourage independence, confidence, and resilience
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
