Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Wrap Around Room Leader to join our team. As a Wrap around Room Leader, you will be responsible for managing a group of children and ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. This is a leadership role within our wrap around provision, requiring excellent communication skills and a passion for early childhood education.

Duties

• Oversee the daily operations of the room
• Create a safe and stimulating environment for children
• Work with our experienced team to plan and implement age‑appropriate activities and curriculum
• Supervise and engage with children during playtime, meals, and rest periods
• Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth functioning of the room
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns

Skills

• Relevant level 3 playworker qualification or equivalent
• Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage a team of nursery staff
• Ability to drive the implementation of early childhood education curriculum
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Passionate about providing quality care and education to young children
