Job summary

Academics Ltd in Cheltenham is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly nursery. You will support children through play, facilitate learning activities and build strong relationships with families.

Role requires Level 3 Early Years/Childcare, safeguarding commitment and good teamwork. Immediate start options; full-/part-time hours available. Salary is competitive per the employer policy.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare is essential.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Genuine passion for working with and supporting young children.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Experience in an early years/nursery setting desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development through play, exploration and activities.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity and development.
• Support children's personal, social and emotional development.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children and parents.

• Follow safeguarding procedures and EYFS standards.
• Observe and support children's development in line with EYFS framework.
• Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive and stimulating nursery environment.
