Rabbit Patch Day Nursery in Horsham is offering a Level 3 Nursery Apprentice position. You will train while gaining hands-on experience, and take on the role of Key Person to support children's learning and development.

Join a friendly, caring team dedicated to creating a nurturing environment. Applicants should have a Level 2 childcare qualification and be willing to work towards Level 3 and obtain a DBS clearance. The role is on-site, with 30+ hours per week and good transport links.

Qualifications

• Level 2 childcare qualification is essential.
• Clear DBS is required.
• GCSEs A*-C / 4-9 in Maths and English or willing to work towards them.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children in learning, development and everyday experiences.
• Providing a warm, caring and stimulating environment where children feel safe and valued.
• Developing positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Taking responsibility for a small group of children as their Key Person.
• Planning and supporting activities that encourage children's individual interests and development.
• Observing, recording and sharing children's progress and achievements.
• Supporting children's personal care, including mealtimes, toileting and sleep routines.
• Promoting children's independence, confidence and self-esteem.
• Working as part of a supportive and professional nursery team.
• Following nursery policies, safeguarding procedures and EYFS requirements.
• Taking part in training and development as part of your Level 3 apprenticeship.
