Protocol Education is recruiting Level 3 CACHE Nursery Practitioners to support a variety of nurseries across Newham and Barking & Dagenham in East London. Flexible work options include day-to-day, regular weekly hours and additional shifts to suit your availability.

Are you a passionate and dedicated Level 3 CACHE Nursery Practitioner who loves supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing?

Protocol Education is currently recruiting experienced Level 3 CACHE Nursery Practitioners to support a range of welcoming private and non-private nursery settings across Newham and Barking & Dagenham.

We work with a variety of Early Years settings, including private day nurseries, children’s centres and school-based nurseries, who are looking for reliable and experienced practitioners to join their teams on a flexible basis.

Whether you are looking for day-to-day flexibility, regular weekly work, additional hours alongside your current role, or a new Early Years opportunity, we have roles available to suit your availability and career goals.

Due to the importance of maintaining the correct child-to-staff ratios, all applicants must hold a recognised Level 3 CACHE Early Years qualification and have previous nursery experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Level 3 CACHE Nursery Practitioner, you will:

• Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing through engaging activities and play.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities linked to the EYFS framework.
• Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Carry out observations and contribute towards children’s learning journeys.
• Support children’s individual needs and development milestones.
• Work closely with nursery teams to provide outstanding care and education.
• Support the setting in maintaining safe staffing ratios and high-quality standards.
• Provide support across a range of Early Years environments.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Level 3 CACHE qualified in Early Years / Childcare (essential).
• Experienced working within a nursery or Early Years environment.
• Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
• Confident following the EYFS framework.
• Caring, reliable and enthusiastic.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and adaptable when working across different nursery settings.

You will also need:

• Recent childcare experience that can be supported by references.
• An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete one).
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
