Job summary

Supply Star Recruitment Limited is seeking Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Coventry. You will work under the class teacher, assisting with activities, monitoring progress and maintaining a safe learning environment.

Applicants should hold a Level 2 STL or equivalent, GCSEs at 4/C and demonstrate patience, empathy and clear communication. DBS checks are required; supply roles may include DBS support if needed.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning (STL) qualification or equivalent childcare/education qualification.
• GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths.
• Patience, empathy and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents and support staff.
• Enhanced DBS check to safeguard children is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the teacher with delivering planned activities and adapt resources as needed.
• Work with small groups or provide 1-to-1 support for targeted pupils.
• Help monitor and record student progress and behaviour.
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
• Assist with the general care, safety and inclusion of all children.
