Job summary

Milk Education in Liverpool is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide general classroom support in KS1 at a primary school in the L14 area on a long-term basis.

You will work with a supportive team to foster early development, learning, and social skills, assisting with phonics, reading, writing, and maths while promoting inclusive practice and positive behaviour.

This role offers ongoing professional development and 1:1 support opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Recent and relevant experience working in an educational setting.
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, or equivalent).
  • A genuine passion for supporting KS1 pupils.
  • A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general classroom support to the class teacher and KS1 pupils.
  • Support children's learning through group work, interventions, and focused 1:1 support.
  • Assist with the delivery of phonics, early reading, writing, and maths activities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, inclusion, and emotional development.
  • Support with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and observation/assessment tasks.

Role Overview

Milk Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the L14 area of Liverpool on a longterm basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to provide general classroom support in KS1, supporting children with their early development, learning, and social skills. Your Key Responsibilities

Essential Requirements

  • Ability to follow guidance from the class teacher and work effectively as part of a team
