Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support schools in Doncaster. You will work across varied classrooms, assisting with lessons, group work and individual support to help pupils learn, thrive and stay safe.

Ideal candidates hold a Level 2 TA qualification, with experience in schools and a patient, proactive approach. Roles range from day-to-day to longer placements, offering flexible schedules to match availability.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working with children or young people in a school setting is desirable.
• Patient, caring and supportive approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
• Genuine passion for supporting children's education and development.
• Experience with SEN pupils or additional learning needs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons.
• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Supporting pupils with classroom activities and tasks.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Supporting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe learning environment.
• Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources.
• Providing encouragement and positive reinforcement to pupils.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Supporting pupils with additional needs where appropriate.
• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
