Job summary

Hillcrest Academy, part of The GORSE Academies Trust, is seeking an enthusiastic Level 1 Teaching Assistant for SEND on a fixed-term maternity cover basis. The role is 16.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Wednesday afternoon to Friday, during term time.

The successful candidate will support learning for pupils with SEND under the guidance of teaching staff and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age.
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Support access to learning for pupils with SEND.
  • Provide general support in the management of pupils.

PART TIME – WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON TO FRIDAY

The successful candidate will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff to support access to learning for pupilswith SEND andprovidegeneral supportin the management of pupils.

  • Ability to work constructively as part of a team.
