PQE Level: NQ-2 PQE

Working Hours: Full-time

A reputable regional law firm seeks a commercially minded Residential and Buy to Let Lending Solicitor to join a busy lending team. You will handle borrower and lender purchase transactions, support loan management (including private and auction sales), and manage matters from purchase through to discharge. The role includes assisting with term lending reviews, complex post-completion land registration issues and SDLT and Companies House processes. You will develop borrower client relationships, support lender and intermediary training, and work closely with completion and post-completion teams.

Responsibilities

• Handle borrower and lender purchase transactions and manage matters from purchase through to discharge.
• Support loan management, including private and auction sales.
• Assist with term lending reviews and complex post-completion land registration issues, SDLT and Companies House processes.
• Develop borrower client relationships and support lender and intermediary training.
• Collaborate with completion and post-completion teams to ensure smooth case progression.

Qualifications

• Good honours degree and qualified solicitor, or CILEX lawyer.
• Solid residential and buy to let lending experience.
• Track record of meeting chargeable hours and fee targets.
• Ability to build a client/referrer base.
