Job summary

Marine & Lawn Troon is seeking an Evening Leisure Cleaner to join our Leisure Team. You will help maintain immaculate facilities and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests and members in our luxury leisure club.

The ideal candidate will have hotel/leisure cleaning experience, excellent attention to detail, and a flexible, discreet approach to serving guests in a luxury setting. Evening shifts are available, with a supportive team and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience in a hotel/leisure setting.
• Strong attention to detail and upkeep of immaculate facilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high cleanliness standards across leisure club areas including pool surrounds, spa, gym, and changing rooms.
• Perform thorough evening cleaning routines to present facilities to the highest standards.
• Clean and sanitise showers, lockers, benches and high-contact surfaces following hygiene procedures.
• Ensure poolside areas, sauna, steam room and facilities are tidy and well maintained.
• Clean gym equipment and fitness areas; replenish guest amenities and supplies.
• Follow cleaning schedules, checklists and evening closing procedures.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Evening Leisure Cleaner to join our Leisure Team, helping to ensure that our leisure and spa facilities remain beautifully presented, welcoming and maintained to the highest standards.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Leisure Management Team, you will play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene and presentation of our luxury leisure facilities, ensuring that every guest enjoys a relaxing, safe and exceptional experience.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout the leisure club, including the swimming pool surrounds, spa facilities, gym, changing rooms, showers, toilets and communal areas.

• Carrying out thorough evening cleaning routines to ensure all leisure facilities are presented to the highest possible standard.

• Cleaning and sanitising showers, changing facilities, lockers, benches and high-contact surfaces in accordance with established hygiene procedures.

• Ensuring the poolside areas, including the sauna, steam room and other leisure facilities, are clean, tidy and maintained to the hotel's luxury standards.

• Cleaning gym equipment and fitness areas using appropriate products and methods to maintain hygiene and equipment condition.

• Replenishing guest amenities, including toiletries, paper products and other essential supplies.

• Ensuring towels, laundry and waste are collected, removed and managed appropriately.

• Following established cleaning schedules, checklists and evening closing procedures.

• Identifying and reporting any maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, hazards or health and safety issues to the Leisure Management Team.

• Ensuring cleaning chemicals and equipment are used, handled and stored safely in accordance with COSHH requirements and company procedures.

• Maintaining safe working practices, including the appropriate use of wet-floor signage and measures to minimise slips, trips and falls.

• Supporting the wider Leisure Team to ensure the facilities are prepared and presented to the highest standards for the following day's guests and members.

• Respecting guest privacy and ensuring cleaning activities are carried out discreetly and professionally, particularly within changing and shower facilities.

• Delivering a friendly, courteous and professional approach when interacting with hotel guests, leisure members and colleagues.

About You

We are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and understands the importance of maintaining exceptional standards within a luxury hospitality environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience, ideally within a hotel, leisure club, spa or similar environment, although full training will be provided.

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining immaculate facilities.

• A reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work, with availability for evening shifts.

• The ability to work independently, manage time effectively and complete cleaning duties to the required standards.

• An understanding of hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety procedures.

• A positive, professional and approachable manner.

• A willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a welcoming team environment.

• Pride in delivering the high standards expected within a luxury hotel.
