Job summary

A prominent engineering consultancy is seeking a Controls Engineer for a short-term project in Leicester. The role involves working on Allen-Bradley PLC systems and IO-Link device integration. Candidates should have hands-on experience in automation and control systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and optimize systems effectively. The position requires on-site work with a rate of £45 per hour, outside IR35 arrangements.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Controls / Automation Engineer in manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix / CompactLogix).
• Working knowledge of IO-Link technology and communication networks.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing automation and control system upgrades.
• Program, test, and modify Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Configure and integrate IO-Link devices.
