Job description

Our client is a well-regarded water management consultancy known for delivering a wide range of water treatment/hygiene and legionella services to clients throughout the UK. The company are now looking to recruit an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor based in or around the York area. The ideal applicant will be experienced in carrying out legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines on a range of site types. Consideration will be given to applications from Malton, Boroughbridge, Tadcaster and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

• Will ideally hold the City & Guilds or WMSoc legionella risk assessing qualification.
• Fully conversant with domestic, commercial, and industrial water systems, supplies, and water regulations.
• Extensive experience of carrying out risk assessments in line with ACOP – L8 is essential.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Competent with Microsoft office package.

Postholder Responsibilities

• Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines.
• Compiling schematic drawings and producing final documents for clients.
• Providing quotations for remedial works and routine control measures through carrying out works based on the risk assessments.
• Monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
• Carrying out surveys on water systems and supplies.
• Attending meetings with clients as required whilst maintaining a professional working relationship at all times.
