Job Description

Our client is an established environmental consultancy that provides professional water treatment, water hygiene, and legionella services throughout the UK. They are seeking a hardworking and highly-skilled Legionella Risk Assessor based in and around the Telford area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience carrying out legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines and will demonstrate excellent technical knowledge of the water treatment industry. Consideration will be given to candidates from Stafford, Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Carry out legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8.
• Compile schematic drawings and produce final documents and reports required by clients/customers.
• Provide recommendations, prices for remedial works, routine control measures, and quotations based on risk assessments.
• Carry out monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
• Survey water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.
• Collate information, write accurate reports and attend client meetings to discuss findings.
• Work in accordance with company procedures, standards, health & safety regulations, and legislation.
• Build and maintain a good rapport with clients and management.
• Prepare to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• Attended an approved Risk Assessment course and holds a City and Guilds or WMS legionella risk assessing qualification.
• Previous relevant and significant experience in a legionella risk assessor role within the industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
• Good client‑facing and organisational skills.
• Fully conversant with water hygiene industry legislation.
