Our client is a well-regarded water management consultancy known for delivering a wide range of water treatment/hygiene and legionella services to clients throughout the UK. The company is now looking to recruit an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor based in or around the North West area. The ideal applicant will have experience carrying out legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines on a range of site types. Consideration will be given to applications from Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

• Will ideally hold the City & Guilds or WMSoc legionella risk assessing qualification.
• Fully conversant with domestic, commercial, and industrial water systems, supplies, and water regulations.
• Extensive experience carrying out risk assessments in line with ACOP – L8 is essential.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Competent with Microsoft Office package.

Postholder Responsibilities

• Carry out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines, working on commercial and industrial systems including cooling towers.
• Compile schematic drawings and produce final documents for clients.
• Provide quotations for remedial works and routine control measures based on the risk assessments.
• Perform monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
• Carry out surveys on water systems and supplies.
• Attend meetings with clients and provide advice.
• Travel nationwide.
