Job description

Our client is an established water management company offering a range of legionella, water hygiene and water treatment duties to clients throughout the UK. They are currently looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated Legionella Risk Assessor based in or around the Motherwell area. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their skills and experience in undertaking legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines on a varied site base, including cooling towers. Consideration will be given to candidates from Hamilton, Carluke, Coatbridge and the surrounding areas.

Experience & Qualifications:
  • The individual must have attended the City and Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment course or an equivalent WMS qualification.
  • Have a proven track record of working as a legionella risk assessor within the water hygiene/water treatment industry.
  • Will have hands‑on experience delivering water hygiene duties to a varied site base.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Packages.
Duties within the Role:
  • Carrying out risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 across a varied site base.
  • Compiling and creating schematic drawings with details, and producing final documents/reports for clients.
  • Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures, quotations, and carrying out such works based on the risk assessments.
  • Writing up appropriate reports and attending meetings to discuss findings.
  • Getting involved with the company’s Legionella management systems.
  • Building and maintaining good working rapport with clients/customers and staff.
  • Dealing with problems as they arise effectively and appropriately.
  • Prioritising workload and ensuring work is completed within the required timescale.
  • Travelling to sites as per client requirements.
