Job Description

Our multi‑disciplined organization, providing services including asbestos, water and related solutions, is actively seeking a self‑motivated, committed, and multi‑skilled Legionella Risk Assessor for the Huddersfield area. Applications from Greater Manchester, Leeds, Wakefield and surrounding areas will be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8.
  • Compile schematic drawings and produce final documentation for clients/customers.
  • Provide recommendations, pricing and quotations for remedial works, routine control measures and maintenance regimes based on risk assessments.
  • Conduct monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
  • Survey water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.
  • Collate and produce comprehensive reports and attend meetings with clients to discuss findings.
  • Address and resolve issues effectively and appropriately.
  • Liaise with clients on a regular basis.
  • Travel extensively as required by client engagements.
Qualifications & Attributes
  • Successful completion of an approved Risk Assessment course – City & Guilds.
  • Previous working knowledge of ACOP L8 and significant experience conducting L8 risk assessments within the water treatment/water hygiene industry (preferably from a Legionella consultancy).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong client‑facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, reliability, hard work and a strong work ethic.
