Job description

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Legionella Risk Assessor based in and around the Aberystwyth area. Join a reputable, multi‑faceted water treatment company that provides water management and legionella services throughout the UK. The ideal candidate will have experience carrying out legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines and excellent knowledge of the water treatment industry. We welcome applicants from Tregaron, Tywyn, Borth, New Quay and surrounding areas.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Attended City & Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment course or equivalent WMS qualification.
  • Proven track record working as a legionella risk assessor within the water hygiene / water treatment industry.
  • Strong chemical, technical, educational, and consultancy background.
  • Competent in using the Microsoft Office Package.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fully conversant with water treatment industry Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
Role Responsibilities
  • Conduct Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 across diverse sites.
  • Compile and create schematic drawings and produce final documents/reports for clients.
  • Provide recommendations and pricing for remedial works, routine control measures, quotations, and carry out such works based on assessments.
  • Write up appropriate reports and attend meetings to discuss findings.
  • Participate in the company’s Legionella management system.
  • Build and maintain good working rapport with clients, customers, and staff.
  • Deal with problems as they arise appropriately and effectively.
  • Prioritise workload and ensure completion within the required timescale.
  • Travel to sites per client requirements.
