Job Overview

Future Select specialises in recruitment within the Water Hygiene / Legionella industry and is currently working closely with a renowned Water Hygiene / Legionella company that holds a national presence. Due to their continued success, we are looking to recruit a qualified and diligent Legionella Risk Assessor. You will work alongside the client’s longstanding team of risk assessors, ensuring the company’s standards of work across the South of England are maintained. The client accepts applications from qualified risk assessors as well as those currently undertaking a split risk assessing / water hygiene role. Our client can offer cross‑training into other environmental sectors, an excellent holiday allowance, a company pension scheme and a company vehicle.

Geographic Availability

The successful candidate should have good access to London and the surrounding areas: Cheshunt, St Albans, Hertford, Hemel Hempstead, Aylesbury, Luton, Stevenage, Bishop’s Stortford, Harlow, High Wycombe, Slough, Windsor, Reading, Woking, Bracknell, Harrow, Enfield, Hounslow, Epsom, Croydon, Bromley, Orpington.

Experience & Qualifications

• Will have experience carrying out risk assessments on a varied site base.
• Holding an industry‑recognised qualification such as City and Guilds / WMSoc in Legionella Risk Assessment is essential.
• Able to communicate efficiently with colleagues and clients.
• Fully conversant with ACoP L8 / HSG 274 guidelines.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Good IT skills.

Role

• Work across a portfolio of commercial, industrial, educational and public sector sites, carrying out Legionella risk assessments on hot and cold‑water systems.
• Provide detailed reports to clients outlining risk assessment findings.
• Develop legionella management plans and ensure they are implemented and followed.
• Produce and work from detailed schematic drawings.
• Ensure work complies with HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines.
• Provide advice and support to clients when required.
