Job summary

Verelogic Ltd is seeking an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join our nationwide field-based team. You will conduct UKAS-aligned risk assessments across residential, commercial, educational, care, and healthcare sites to safeguard public health.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance with ACoP L8, HSG274 Part 2 and BS 8580-1, while offering a base salary up to 35,000 with a 6,000 OTE bonus and overtime. Company vehicle and pension are included.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within Water Hygiene and/or Legionella Risk Assessments.
• Strong understanding of Legionella risk management and control measures.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical findings to clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Legionella Risk Assessments across varied property types.
• Ensure compliance with ACoP L8, HSG274 Part 2, BS 8580-1 and guidance.
• Identify and evaluate Legionella risks within water systems.
• Provide clear, practical remedial recommendations.
• Liaise with Quality and Compliance teams to maintain reporting standards.
• Promote and maintain high Health & Safety standards on client sites.
• Travel to surrounding areas as required.

Salary: Up to £41,000 OTE + Overtime

A well-established and highly regarded environmental compliance provider is seeking an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join its expanding field-based operations team. With over two decades of industry expertise and recognition among the UK's leading water treatment specialists, the organisation delivers high-quality Legionella control, water treatment, and air quality services nationwide.

Due to continued growth, there is an opportunity for a competent Risk Assessor to work across a diverse portfolio of sites including residential properties, commercial buildings, educational facilities, care homes, and healthcare environments. The role focuses on delivering UKAS-aligned Legionella Risk Assessments that ensure full regulatory compliance and safeguard public health.

• Base salary up to £35,000
• Annual bonus up to £6,000 (£500 per month)

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with ACoP L8, HSG274 Part 2, BS 8580-1 and associated guidance
• Identify and evaluate Legionella risks within water systems
• Provide clear, practical recommendations for remedial actions
• Liaise with internal Quality and Compliance teams to maintain reporting standards
• Promote and maintain high Health & Safety standards on all client sites
• Travel surrounding areas as required

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

• Proven experience within the Water Hygiene sector and/or conducting Legionella Risk Assessments
• Strong understanding of Legionella risk management and control measures
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to clients
• Sound knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
• Full UK driving licence
• Competent in using digital reporting systems and mobile technology

Desirable:

• Recognised Legionella Risk Assessor qualification (e.g. City & Guilds, BOHS, Water Management Society)
• Applications from experienced assessors without formal certification are welcomed, with support available to achieve relevant qualifications.
