Overview

RSD Recruitment are working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor. This is a permanent, full-time role, based in the South of England, with regular travel into London.

This role offers a balance of site-based work and reporting. You will visit client sites to carry out Legionella risk assessments, collect water samples, and record system details. Following site visits, you will produce clear, compliant reports and drawings to help clients manage their water hygiene risks effectively.

The work combines independent fieldwork, office-based report writing, and occasional home working.

What the Role Involves

As part of the consultancy team, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting Legionella risk assessments at a variety of client premises.
  • Collecting water samples and recording accurate system information.
  • Producing detailed, compliant reports and schematic drawings tailored to each client.
  • Splitting your time between site visits, office work, and home working.
  • Ensuring all work complies with health and safety standards and current regulations.

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys working independently, travelling across the region, and being part of a small, experienced team.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in Legionella management.
  • Solid understanding of domestic hot and cold water systems, HSG 274, ACoP L8, and BS8580-1:2019.
  • Proven ability to produce clear, compliant reports and schematic drawings.
  • Confidence with water sampling procedures and collecting asset information.
  • Strong organisational skills, reliability, and good communication.
