Job Title: Legionella Remedial Plumber
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Salary / Benefits £26k – £38k + Company Vehicle + Training +Benefits

We are currently working closely with a long-running National Legionella Consultancy, who deliver the full range of water hygiene / legionella and plumbing services to a diverse client base. The client is looking for a well‑rounded Legionella Remedial Plumber to join their expanding department. The successful candidate will be travelling around the South East region delivering all aspects of remedial duties to ensure the continued compliance of the company’s customers.

The client is looking for Remedial Engineers and is open to receiving CVs of varying experience. However, applicants must hold a minimum Level 2 Plumbing qualification and have time spent working within a water treatment / legionella company.

Ideally, you will be located near: Harlow, Epping, Cheshunt, Chigwell, Enfield, Borehamwood, Harrow, Wembley, Hatfield, St Albans, Harrow, Wembley, Luton, Harpenden, Hitchin, Dunstable, Potters Bar, Biggleswade, Welwyn Garden City, Letchworth Garden City, Royston, Buntingford, Bishop’s Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Chelmsford.

Qualifications / Experience

• Will hold a recognised Plumbing qualification – minimum level 2.
• Level 3 Plumbing NVQ or equivalent (Desirable).
• G3 Unvented ticket (Desirable).
• Experience working within a Water Treatment / Legionella company.
• Good time management skills – able to plan own work day / schedule.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out a range of water hygiene / remedial duties including delivering all aspects of remedial plumbing duties to Healthcare, Commercial and Local Authority contracts.
• Tank upgrade and replacement works.
• Remedial action of water systems.
• Removing redundant pipework and dead legs.
• Pipework rerouting and modifications.
• Fault finding.
• Carrying out routine monitoring duties to ensure compliance with HSG / L8 guidelines.
• Maintaining customers’ on‑site logbooks.
• Testing, servicing, and maintaining TMVs.
• Supervising and training a team of plumbers.
• Cylinder servicing and installation.
• Pricing / quoting of plumbing jobs and leading where required.
