Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in driving forward innovation projects and supporting change management.
• Experience working in a legal environment, whether in a law firm, in-house or a legal tech company.
• Hands-on experience with genAI tools, including dedicated legal tech tools.
• Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders and translate between technical capabilities and lawyer workflows.
• Proven organizational and project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and support technology-enabled processes for our priority practice areas.
• Work with firm leadership and our wider Transformation and AI capability to identify, prioritise and deliver strategic innovation initiatives
• Work with legal teams to gather business needs and opportunities and translate into concrete solutions.
• Co-design and build internal and client-facing processes leveraging our existing technology stack, including core processes, foundational knowledge content and training and guidance.
• Support the rollout of new technology solutions, working with our Tech & Data and Risk & Compliance team on trialling and vendor selection, developing deployment plans and monitoring adoption and ROI.
• Lead the development of communities of excellence to support sharing of best practice across all legal teams, collaborating with innovation champions across the firm.
• Stay ahead of developments in legal AI, monitoring emerging tools and identifying meaningful experimentation opportunities.
• In collaboration with our Learning & Development and Knowledge teams, design and deliver structured training programmes on legal technology and generative AI.
• Provide hands-on support to our lawyers on tools, workflows, and practical questions.
• Develop ROI and business case processes to prioritise and assess innovation projects.
• Communicate proactively with legal teams and staff on innovation and efficiency.
• Be an active and effective champion for technology adoption and culture change, helping colleagues embed new ways of working.

We are recruiting a Legal Technologist to sit at the intersection of law, technology and change management, supporting the responsible and impactful use of AI and legal technology with a focus on our priority areas of practice. This is a hands-on, technology and change-focused role, working closely with lawyers and our Technology & Data team to identify opportunities, translate legal team needs into practical solutions, support adoption and deliver improvements in how we serve our clients.

The role will sit within the Technology & Data team and form part of the firm’s wider Transformation & AI capability.
