Qualifications

Rahman Lowe is a specialist employment law firm based in Canary Wharf, London. We are ranked as a leading firm for employment law by the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners independent guides to the legal profession. The firm acts for both employers and employees.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Legal Secretary/Executive Assistant to provide a first‑class professional support service to 2Partners, and other solicitors as may be required. We are looking for somebody with great organisational skills and a passion for accuracy. You will be responsible for:

Responsibilities
  • providing a high quality administrative and support service to the partners;
  • effective management of the electronic diary and case management system;
  • providing support for an extensive range of meetings for fee earners and arranging partner travel;
  • liaising with clients and acting as a primary point of contact;
  • managing calendars, co‑ordinating and organising events;
  • dealing with general secretarial duties, administration, digital dictation and typing correspondence;
  • dealing with telephone calls and messages;
  • dealing with billing, invoicing clients, chasing unpaid bills and opening and closing cases;
  • organising and maintaining effective filing systems, processing expenses; and
  • general assistance with litigation, preparation of bundles, including e‑bundles and paginating documents.

An interest in marketing will also be an advantage as the Firm's cases usually attract considerable press attention. You will have excellent technical skills and knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Office, Excel and Powerpoint. Experience of Adobe illustrator or InDesign would be desirable.

The successful candidate will also have excellent interpersonal and team working skills and, in particular, a confident telephone manner for dealing with clients or telephone enquiries. An excellent command of English, both written and spoken, is also required.

Qualifications required:

1) GCSEs, including Maths and English desirable, with good grades;

2) Legal Secretarial qualification or equivalent, desirable but not essential;

3) Approximately 5 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant/Legal Secretary, or similar.

The candidate must be available to start immediately in this full‑time role.

Salary: Dependent upon experience.
