We are supporting an established Ayrshire law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary with a background in residential conveyancing/property to join their busy team. The Role

As a Legal Secretary within the conveyancing team, you will play a key role in supporting fee earners and ensuring files progress smoothly from instruction through to completion. Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and formatting legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Managing correspondence, client updates, and file administration
  • Using the firm's case management system to maintain and update records
  • Audio typing and digital dictation
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, lenders, and other third parties
  • Supporting colleagues with diary management, scanning, filing, and general office duties
  • Assisting on reception when required
About You
  • Experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within conveyancing/property
  • Confident typing and audio typing skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and general IT systems
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional manner with clients
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage deadlines
  • A proactive and organised approach to supporting fee earners
  • Training provided on all internal systems
