A small but growing traditional law firm based in the heart of Tunbridge Wells, within walking distance of the station, is seeking a Legal Secretary/Assistant to join its busy Conveyancing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit, collaborative, and supportive team that prides itself on delivering high-quality legal work and exceptional client care.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year’s experience in conveyancing and a solid understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction through to completion. You will be supporting an experienced Partner, providing comprehensive administrative and legal assistance within a friendly and professional office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support to fee earners within the Conveyancing team
  • Preparing and managing legal documents, forms, and correspondence
  • Liaising professionally with clients, estate agents, lenders, and third parties
  • Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate file records
  • Opening, maintaining, and closing client files in accordance with firm policies
  • Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with firm and regulatory procedures
Key Skills & Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a conveyancing support role (Legal Secretary or Assistant)
  • Strong working knowledge of the conveyancing process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
