  • Preparing and dispatching outgoing correspondence.
  • Supporting trainee and temporary secretaries.
  • Carrying out various ad-hoc admin duties.

Overview

Legal Secretary required in Mansfield. Locations: Central Mansfield. Full-Time, Permanent, Office-Based. Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 - dependant on experience. Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

We're currently recruiting on behalf of a valued client who is looking to hire a Legal Secretary for their Mansfield office.

What we're looking for
  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary is ideal, but not essential; full training available for the right candidates who bring:
  • Solid administration experience
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A proactive and professional attitude
Key Responsibilities
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post
  • Producing accurate legal documents from dictation, written or verbal instructions
  • Handling confidential information with discretion
  • Answering telephone calls and taking messages
  • Diary management for Fee Earners
  • Attending to clients in person and over the phone
  • Liaising with third parties (Solicitors, Experts, Barristers, Courts)
  • Maintaining both electronic and paper filing systems
  • Managing document storage for Wills and LPAs in line with guidelines
  • Opening, closing, and archiving client files
  • Preparing and dispatching outgoing correspondence
  • Offering support to trainee and temporary secretaries when required
  • Carrying out various ad-hoc admin duties
