Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client as a Legal Secretary, providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support within their busy Family practice, and ensuring fee earners can focus on delivering exceptional client service!

Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Amending and preparing legal documents accurately and on time.
  • Proofreading and checking documents for quality and consistency.
  • Creating new clients/matters in internal systems (Intapp & DMS).
  • Copy typing and audio transcription.
  • Preparing court bundles and ensuring files are ready for hearings and meetings.
  • Receiving disclosure documents and coordinating them for review.
  • Managing travel bookings, course arrangements and meeting logistics.
  • Monitoring fee earners' inboxes and handling phone calls and messages.
  • Assisting with conflict checks when required.
  • Managing file organisation, archiving and ensuring accurate matter-opening data.
  • Supporting M&BD with ad-hoc administrative tasks.
  • Processing expenses, assisting with billing and emailing invoices.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previous secretarial or administrative experience, ideally gained within a legal environment. They will be highly organised, accurate and confident using Microsoft Office, with strong typing skills and excellent written and verbal communication. A proactive approach, flexibility and the ability to work as part of a multi-team environment are key. Secretarial or administration qualifications would be an advantage.
