Job summary

A renowned law firm in London is seeking an effective Legal PA to support 6-7 fee earners in their busy Banking & Insolvency department. This hybrid role offers flexibility with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home. Candidates should possess prior legal PA experience and strong organisational skills to manage diaries and facilitate effective communication with clients. Salary up to £45,000.

Qualifications

  • Previous Legal PA / Secretarial experience within a law firm is essential.
  • Highly organised, proactive, flexible, and a strong team player.
  • Experience coordinating BD-related events or client initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Proactive diary management.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of fee earners’ matters.
  • Establish and maintain effective communications with clients and contacts.
  • Onboard new clients and draft engagement letters.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks such as travel planning and meeting organization.
  • Prepare bills including bill narratives.

Legal PA – Banking & Insolvency

Renowned London law firm is on the lookout for an effective and proactive Legal PA to support 6-7 fee earners in its busy Banking & Insolvency department.

  • Salary to £45,000
  • We welcome both full-time (5 days) and part-time (4 days) applicants
  • Hybrid working – 2 days in the office / 3 days WFH
  • 09:3017:30 (Monday-Friday)
  • Holborn / Chancery Lane

The department’s work is transaction driven with frequent urgent deadlines and last‑minute arrangements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong diary management skills and the ability to provide proactive and efficient organisational support.

Key Responsibilities of the Legal PA
  • Proactive diary management
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and a strong understanding of fee earners’ matters to be able to provide the best level support
  • Establish and maintain effective communications with both internal and external clients or contacts
  • Onboard new clients, open new matters, and draft engagement letters
  • New matter and AML checks including obtaining relevant documentation
  • Co‑ordinate administrative tasks such as travel planning / expenses, monitoring inboxes, organising meetings, time entries, mail, and research
  • Prepare bills (including bill narratives)
Skills & Requirements of the Legal PA
  • Previous Legal PA / Secretarial experience within a law firm is essential
  • Highly organised, proactive, flexible, and a strong team player
  • Experience coordinating BD‑related events or client initiatives on behalf of lawyers within a Legal PA role
  • Familiarity with InterAction
