Legal Helpline Advisor - Fully Remote (UK-Based)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a legally trained professional to join a leading national law firm's Legal Helpline Team. This role offers the flexibility of remote working from anywhere in the UK and is ideal for someone with a broad legal background who enjoys delivering clear, practical advice over the phone.

The Role

As part of a dedicated helpline service, you will be the first point of contact for clients seeking guidance under a Home Legal Expenses Insurance (LEI) policy. Your primary responsibility will be to provide general legal advice across a variety of practice areas during the initial call, ensuring each client receives a high level of service and support.

What You\'ll Be Doing
  • Answering incoming calls and offering general preliminary legal advice in line with LEI policy terms
  • Advising confidently across a wide range of legal topics, including consumer law and motoring offences
  • Resolving client queries efficiently, often during the first call
  • Applying up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and case law to inform your advice
  • Delivering clear and accurate information to clients, even when dealing with complex matters
  • Ensuring calls are handled professionally and empathetically, while meeting service level agreements
  • Using internal systems and case management tools to manage and log calls effectively
What We\'re Looking For
  • Qualified to LLB, LPC or CILEX level, or able to demonstrate equivalent legal experience
  • Broad legal knowledge across multiple areas of law
  • Previous experience in providing legal advice by phone is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with a calm and professional telephone manner
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for clients
  • IT proficiency, including familiarity with Visual Files or similar case management systems and Microsoft Office
