Job summary

RedRock Resourcing is assisting a prestigious law firm in finding a technically minded Legal Engineer/Innovation Specialist. This hands-on role sits between legal, technology and product delivery, translating complex problems into practical, prototype-ready solutions.

You'll collaborate with lawyers and tech partners to build and test new tools that streamline legal work and automate processes, while exploring how AI can enhance real-world legal use cases.

Qualifications

• Experience in legal technology, legal engineering or legal innovation.
• Experience designing, building, configuring, prototyping or testing technology solutions.
• Strong understanding of AI for automating legal workflows.
• Familiarity with Copilot, Power Platform, Claude Code or legal AI tools.
• Willingness to experiment, prototype and iterate.

Responsibilities

• Work with lawyers and business teams to understand problems, map processes and identify opportunities for automation.
• Build, configure and prototype solutions using legal technology, AI, workflow and low-code platforms to address legal and operational challenges.
• Take solutions through proof-of-concept, testing and refinement before supporting wider implementation.
• Explore how emerging AI capabilities can be applied to real-world legal use cases.
• Translate business and legal requirements into technical solutions and working prototypes.
• Work closely with internal technology teams and external technology providers where integrations or specialist platforms are involved.
• Act as a technical point of contact, helping non-technical stakeholders understand the opportunities and limitations of new technology.

They're looking for a technically minded Legal Engineer/Innovation Specialist to join their innovation function and help turn emerging technology into practical solutions.

This is a hands-on role sitting between legal, technology and product delivery. You'll work with legal teams and technical stakeholders to understand complex problems, design solutions and build, configure and test new tools that improve how legal work is delivered.

Responsibilities:

• Work with lawyers and business teams to understand problems, map processes and identify opportunities for automation

Requirements:

• Experience working in legal technology, legal engineering, legal innovation, or a similar environment
• Practical experience designing, building, configuring, prototyping or testing technology solutions
• A strong understanding of AI and how it can be applied to automate or improve legal workflows
• Experience with technologies such as Copilot, Power Platform, Claude Code, legal AI platforms (Harvey, Legora etc.) or similar AI/automation tools
• The confidence to work directly with lawyers and clients while maintaining a technical focus
• A genuine interest in emerging legal technologies and a willingness to experiment, prototype and iterate
