Qualifications

  • In‑depth knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks relevant to large‑scale infrastructure or energy projects.

Sizewell C – the UK’s next nuclear power new‑build project – is seeking a highly capable Legal Counsel to join our Legal Team. The role supports economic regulatory matters for Sizewell C’s electricity generating license under the regulated asset base (RAB) model, working with internal teams, external advisors and government stakeholders.

Opportunity

Join an expanding team and work on one of the UK’s largest megaprojects, contributing to Britain’s net‑zero ambition. Sizewell C has secured full financing and obtained planning approval, with construction already underway. Funding the full lifecycle of the project, it will deliver dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years.

Location & Working Arrangements

London or Suffolk – hybrid arrangements between our offices and home. Full‑time or part‑time options negotiable.

  • Employment type: Permanent full‑time or part‑time.
  • Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience, plus bonus and benefits.

The Role

Provide expert legal advice and support on Sizewell C’s regulatory and licensing obligations, particularly its electricity generating licence. Work closely on matters requiring engagement with Ofgem, LCCC and DESNZ, including the funded decommissioning plan, grid connection, and evolving UK energy regulatory framework.
