Job description

To further strengthen our well-established global corporate legal team we are looking for additional legal support in our Amsterdam office.

This role offers an ambitious junior – mid level associate the exciting opportunity to join a diverse and growing investments business and gain exposure to a broad range of complex, international legal matters. You will join the Amsterdam office, working as part of the wider Aurelius legal team based across our global offices on a broad range of interesting and challenging corporate legal matters.

Responsibilities
  • Contract drafting and negotiation, for equity issuances, reductions, redemptions, buybacks and dividends, as well as intercompany loans and cashflow reconciliation letters
  • Corporate governance matters, including director appointments / resignations, changes of company names / details and Companies House filings
  • Maintaining company registers, and records of contracts
  • Drafting documentation to assist with reorganisations and / or solvent liquidations
Qualifications required
  • Qualified English lawyer
  • Min. 3+ years of legal work experience (preference for background in corporate, M&A, PE or debt finance)
  • Profound knowledge in English corporate law
  • Strong technical aptitude and commercial ability
  • Versatility and adaptability – ability to undertake a broad and varied range of work
  • Ability to quickly and effectively understand, analyse and communicate complex structures and issues
  • Structured and thorough but pragmatic and result-oriented working methodology
  • Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills
  • High motivation and commitment to professional development
  • Results-orientated personality in timely manner / pro-active, highly developed sense of responsibility
  • Strong team player, but able to operate independently
  • Business fluency in English, other language skills are an advantage but not essential
