Our client, a leading global crypto exchange, is expanding its team and seeking a Regulatory Lawyer to support its continued growth. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of financial and crypto regulations, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk in an evolving industry and can be worked fully remotely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee global licensing and financial regulatory matters, identifying and mitigating risk.
  • Provide strategic regulatory advice on crypto/financial licensing, product launches, and compliance.
  • Support the Compliance team in regulatory compliance efforts, including sanctions, AML, and other risks.
  • Advise business units on commercial matters, drafting/reviewing licensing documents, regulatory investigations responses, and marketing materials.
  • Manage external counsel relationships and legal advice procurement.
  • Deliver legal and regulatory training to internal teams.
Who We're Looking For
  • Qualified lawyer with 5-9 years PQE in financial regulatory law, gained in a regulatory body, reputable law firm, or ideally an in-house setting.
  • In-depth experience with financial products, commercial transactions, and regulatory licensing for traditional financial institutions and cryptocurrency firms.
  • Knowledge of global financial regulations and interactions with local & international regulators.
  • Start-up experience preferred ideally with a European crypto exchangewith a proven ability to handle complex legal matters in fast-paced environments.
  • Regulatory expertise, including investigations, requests for information, sanctions, AML compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
