Legal Counsel – Civil Works Alliance

Sizewell C is seeking a qualified solicitor or barrister (England & Wales) to support the legal aspects of the Civil Works Alliance, a multi‑billion‑pound delivery partnership critical to the Sizewell C project in Suffolk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pragmatic legal advice on governance, contractual and regulatory matters relating to the Civil Works Alliance.
  • Draft, negotiate and manage alliance documents and related contracts.
  • Collaborate with senior delivery, commercial, finance and project controls teams.
  • Ensure ongoing commercial and regulatory compliance across the alliance framework.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualified solicitor or barrister (England & Wales) with experience in construction and engineering law.
  • Strong understanding of NEC and/or FIDIC contract forms.
  • Proven ability to deliver practical, risk‑based legal advice in fast‑paced project environments.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, collaborative, delivery‑focused attitude.
