Sembcorp UK’s Legal & Compliance team in Wilton, Teesside seeks an Inhouse Legal Counsel to support commercial contracts, compliance, real estate, corporate and construction matters. You will work closely with the business and manage risks from day one.
As a qualified solicitor, you will draft and negotiate contracts, support project development, and help deliver the UK’s energy transition. In-house experience is welcome but not essential.

As Legal Counsel, you will work across the full range of legal and compliance matters affecting the UK business. This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, wants to work closely with the business and is keen to make a genuine contribution from day one.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across the UK business whilst being part of an international Legal & Compliance network across the Sembcorp Group. This combination offers the opportunity to take ownership of matters locally while benefiting from the support and expertise of a global legal function.

Prior in-house experience is welcome but not essential. Above all, we are looking for someone who is curious, commercially minded, eager to learn and excited by the opportunity to build broad in-house experience whilst making a meaningful contribution at a defining moment for Sembcorp in the UK.
