We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to help deliver our UK productive assets strategy. This permanent position is based in London with hybrid working.

As Legal Counsel, you’ll provide expert legal support across a diverse range of investments and projects, from infrastructure and private equity to capital markets and regulatory initiatives. You’ll work closely with investment teams and external partners, negotiating documentation, managing legal risk, and ensuring compliance. This is a broad, hands‑on role where your advice will directly influence Railpen’s strategic direction and help us build strong partnerships across the public and private sectors.
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
We’re looking for a qualified lawyer with 2–4 years’ post‑qualification experience, ideally gained in an in‑house environment. You’ll have a strong transactional background covering areas such as M&A, partnerships and joint ventures, fund investments with proven ability to negotiate legal documentation and advise on regulatory matters. Expertise advising financial institutions and infrastructure sector experience would be beneficial. Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams and engaging confidently with stakeholders is essential.
