Job summary

Totum Partners are working with a well-regarded law firm to recruit an experienced Legal Cashier on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative Finance team, supporting multiple UK offices and working closely with the Senior Legal Cashier and wider Cashiering team.

Posting client and office receipts, processing payments, daily reconciliations and multi-currency handling are key duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Legal Cashier role is essential.
• Strong understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules.
• Experience processing client and office account transactions.
• Ability to work accurately in a busy environment with competing deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Posting client and office receipts.
• Processing client and office payments via CHAPS, cheque and file uploads.
• Completing daily bank reconciliations.
• Ensuring deposit interest is paid on matters when due.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and filing documentation.
• Liaising with colleagues across UK offices and supporting fee earners.
• Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and internal procedures.
• Working with multi-currency transactions.
• Meeting key deadlines and timetables.
