HCB Widdows Mason is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Legal Assistant to join our New Build team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in supporting clients with the unique legal aspects of new build property transactions. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure the ideal candidate is well-equipped for the position.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting clients with inquiries related to new build property transactions.
  • Providing updates to clients and keeping track of transaction progress.
  • Opening and closing files in compliance with firm policies and legal standards.
  • Conducting administrative tasks associated with new build transactions.
  • Preparing and drafting legal documents, including contracts and completion statements.
  • Reviewing and checking property documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Coordinating with developers, solicitors, and other parties involved in the transaction.
  • Utilizing the Land Registry portal for submission and handling requisitions.
  • Calculating Stamp Duty Land Tax and assisting with financial arrangements.
  • Providing occasional reception or administrative cover as required.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
