Job description

Prosperity Law LLP is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our growing and vibrant Manchester Office as a Legal Assistant. Working within the Clinical Negligence team to support the fee earners in the team with a variety of clinical negligence related work.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting fee‑earners in the management of their caseload of Clinical Negligence matters by undertaking various tasks as supervised by the fee‑earners.
• Drafting documents and correspondence under supervision.
• Dealing with new enquiries.
• Updating and meeting with clients.
• Undertaking research to support fee earners.
• Obtaining medical records.
• Liaising with the courts.
• Liaising with a wide variety of 3rd parties in the course of progressing matters.
• Supporting fee earners with various administrative tasks and file/case management.
• Keeping up‑to‑date with key changes in the relevant law and procedure and ensuring that clients are informed of any changes that may affect them.

Requirements

• Strong technical IT skills.
• At least 2 years of experience in an assistant role in a clinical Negligence team within a law firm.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Commercially aware with a strong focus on client service.
