Job description

We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join a busy and professional team. This role involves supporting a Partner with all aspects of conveyancing transactions, including sales and purchases, file set-up, and handling new build and shared ownership properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with property transactions including transfer of equity and mortgage matters.
  • Liaise with estate agents, solicitors, and clients throughout the process.
  • Raise and respond to enquiries, secure mortgage funds, and manage client communications via telephone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Undertake anti-money laundering and conflict checks.
  • Prepare or review sales contracts and collate supporting legal documentation.
  • Manage transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Work closely with the Accounts Department to review source of funds and wealth.
Additional Duties:
  • Liaise with the Land Registry and manage portal submissions.
  • Upload information and handle SDLT applications and requisitions.
  • Assist with management company requirements and stamp duty regulations.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in conveyancing support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Land Registry processes and SDLT applications.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
