A local governmental authority in Coalville is seeking a part-time Legal Assistant to support its Legal Services Team. You will handle a variety of legal tasks while managing your own caseload under supervision. This role offers an annual salary of £19,659 - £22,040 as well as numerous benefits including an attractive pension scheme and continued training opportunities. Our friendly, proactive and Lexcel accredited Legal Services Team has an excellent opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join them.
This role provides the opportunity to work with both internal and external clients alongside the more senior members of the team covering the Council’s contentious and non-contentious legal work. Areas of practice will include regulatory enforcement, planning, commercial contracts, property, information governance and local government law. You will be responsible for managing a variety of tasks, working in a sometimes-high‑pressure environment to meet deadlines and managing a caseload of your own with supervision from members of the Legal Services Team. Previous experience of working in a Local Government environment or similar is desirable but not essential.
