Overview

Are you a passionate legal professional ready to make a real impact? At RAC Legal Services, we're looking for Legal Advisors to provide expert legal guidance to our members and corporate partners across a wide range of private law matters. We don't just offer a job - we offer a career path. As you grow your legal expertise, we'll support you in expanding into new areas of law. Once you complete training and demonstrate competency in advising, you'll receive £1,500 for each new advanced legal area you master, including:

  • Advanced Property Law
  • Employment Law
  • Wills & Probate
  • Family Law
What You'll Do
  • Provide accurate legal advice by phone across core areas of private law.
  • Apply RAC LS policies and products with precision and clarity.
  • Handle escalated complaints professionally and within service level timeframes.
  • Log all calls and activities using our case management systems.
  • Support the department with training, legal research, and administrative tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA, Data Protection Act, and other relevant regulations.
Requirements
  • Law graduate (LLB + postgrad qualification such as LPC/LSF, LLM, or BVC) or equivalent legal/insurance qualification.
  • Ideally but not essential experience in customer-facing roles or call centre environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Expertise in core foundation areas of law:
    • Contract (including insurance and consumer)
    • Civil Litigation
    • Tort (negligence, nuisance, trespass)
    • Personal Injury
    • Statutory Liability
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of motoring law and related fields (e.g., motor insurance, criminal motor).
  • Advanced expertise in:
    • Employment Law (Private)
    • Property Law (Private)
    • Family Law
    • Wills & Probate
  • Strong IT skills and ability to manage workloads effectively.
